Basketball Wives LA Welcomes New Cast

Basketball Wives LA is getting a new cast for season 6. After five seasons of drama and chaos, the show has decided to refocus its mission and make a lot of changes. The change started with replacing five of the current cast members. There is no surprise that some of the cast members were removed, because they weren’t that interesting to watch.

Brandi Maxwell is one of the stars leaving the show. There is no secret that her and executive producer Shaunie O’Neal didn't get along after season 4, but she is one to leave the cast. Along with Brandi it is reported that her two closest friends on the show Malaysia Pargo, and DJ Duffey are off as well. Malaysia was one of the most popular members of the cast, which is very shocking, although her storyline began to fade as well. The Angel’s, Angel Brinks and Angel Love were asked to not return as well.

Although half of the cast will not be returning, some faces will remain including veterans Shaunie O’Neil, Tami Roman and Jackie Christie.

The cuts made to the cast was very needed, but the new additions should be interesting as well. The highly favored personality and former BBWLA cast member Evelyn Lozada officially announced that she would be in fact returning to the show while guest starring on “The Real”. She claims that her return is due to change needed for the show.

Evelyn explained saying, “I’ve had several conversations with Shaunie about this and we just really want to change the direction of the show. I feel like a lot of the arguments and a lot of the storylines, you know, have been done before. We really want to add substance and depth to the show.”

Along with Lozado will be Keonna Green, mother of Nick Young’s child and Aja Metoyer mother of Dwayne Wade’s three-year-old son. These two will be a very interesting addition to the show as their  fame arose behind scandal and affairs. The new direction of BBWLA is questionable after the new cast has been announced, but surely will be interesting to see. Tune into season 6 of Basketball Wives LA.
