LL Cool J and Ice Cube To Close Billion Dollar TV Deal

In an acquisition that may put Ice Cube and LL Cool J in a new tax bracket involves a 71 billion dollar purchase made by Disney. The rap pioneers are partnering with Alex and Ani jewelry founder Carolyn Rafaelian to acquire 22 sports stations worth between $15 and $25 billion dollars. The reason why this deal is happening is because Disney is the majority holder of ESPN and will have too much control over sports content shown on different networks. Some of the stations up for grabs are Fox Sports San Diego, Fox Sports Arizona and Fox Sports Detroit to name a few.

This is where LL Cool J and Ice Cube got the idea to purchase the stations up for grabs. Their investment group has secured the money needed for the purchase and are currently working on a purchase plan. Both men feel as though the sports industry is in need of a fresh look and they feel they are the right ones to bring a new perspective. We are excited to see what they bring to the sports world.
