Combo Forward, Paul Pierce signed a one-day contract with the Boston Celtics on Monday in a move that allows him to retire as a member of the franchise. The player we all know as “The Truth” will always be remembered as a Boston Celtic. His legendary number 34 will hang gloriously on TD Garden forever.
A 10-time All-Star, Pierce spent the first 15 years of his career with the Celtics. He helped the organization win an NBA title in 2008. That year, the Celtics sported the first modern era super team with Kevin Garnett, Ray Allen, and Rajon Rondo.

Quotes from the legend himself:
"It's an honor to have this opportunity to once again call myself a Boston Celtic,"
“The organization and city took me in and made me one of their own, and I couldn't imagine ending my career any other way. I'm a Celtic for life."
