Miley’s Back With New Music

The former Hannah Montana star is back with a brand new album and a new single to hit radio station May 11th. From Bangerz, to Miley Cyrus and Her Dead Petz, to this new album, Miley has definitely made her way around the musical spectrum. Miley Cyrus’ new single Malibu was written in the back of an Uber while on the way to a taping of The Voice. The single has been described as “an unprecedented dose of twang to a mix that includes quiet epic turns and epic pop.”

Miley’s cover issue in Billboard Magazine covers a variety of topics, such as her new music set to drop this year, on-again fiance Liam Hemsworth, her little sister Noah Cyrus, and quitting smoking. The issue, to hit stands discusses her newest album, which her father, Billy Ray Cyrus says it’s more of Miley “leaning into her roots” than he’s ever heard before. Much of the album was written by Miley herself, and it is said to be very political and very personal. The album even includes a song about Hilary Clinton, who we’ve seen Miley advocate for throughout the election.

Miley told Billboard,  "This record is a reflection of the fact that yes, I don’t give a fuck, but right now is not a time to not give a fuck about people.” We’re super excited to see what Miley Brings to us on May 11th. You can read her full Billboard article here.
