Colorado Teen’s Brush Stroke Just Went Viral!

Kendrick Lamar, K.Dot, Kung Fu Kenny, the Israelite, whatever you prefer to call the West Coast rapper has had nothing but wins since his fourth studio album DAMN released back in April.

Not only has Lamar been winning, but a Centennial High School student in Pueblo, Colorado, Tiona Cordova, won first place for her portrait of the first Compton rapper, titled “Utmost Appreciation” for an annual art contest.

Republican congressman Scott Tipton of Colorado announced the winner of the 2017 Congressional Art competition via Twitter. The painting is set to display at a ceremony that will take place this year.

Cordova’s art work will be displayed in the United States Capitol Building in Washington D.C. for the next year.

Huge congrats to this talented young artist Tiona!
