Tameka “Tiny” Harris is proving that she can roll with the big dogs by adding the title of “sports team owner” to her list of credentials. On Thursday the singer announced on her Instagram that she is now the owner of the Atlanta Heirs, a gender-mixed basketball team, “Proud to be the first female owner of a co-ed professional basketball league,” Tiny said. “Thx to everyone in this picture for helping me make this monumental boss move!! I’m excited to share this with the world and more so with my city #Atlanta. I’m officially the owner of, “The Atlanta Heirs “!!”

As stated on their website, Global mixed Gender basketball Is an innovative concept to the basketball industry. It features both men and women playing on the same team. The team will have both male and female coaches, managers and staff. No longer will a woman make less than a man for performing the same job because the team is paid on equal levels! Spots on the team are given to local college age players and they also offer scholarship opportunities.

Shortly after announcing the news Tiny Got right to business as she thanked former NBA star Shannon Brown and WNBA star Kym Hampton for helping out with the preliminary tryouts.

This isn’t the first time we’re hearing big news about Tiny this week. She also announced that she and the other members of the R&B group Xscape have reunited.
