Phresh Off The Runway: Parsons Honor Rihanna!
Fresh off the runway of her third Fenty x Puma runway show earlier this month in France, who else but the original bad girl herself, Rihanna to be honored at this year's Parsons School of Design Benefit!
Miss Fenty will be honored alongside Eileen Fisher and the high end department store Neiman Marcus. The annual event will take place on May 2nd at Pier 60 in the Chelsea District of New York City.
The Barbadian beauty is the perfect recipient for this honor. Not only does she slay every outfit she puts on her tall, slim figure but she does a ton of philanthropic work. Her efforts help support communities by fostering effective health education and emergency response programs all over the globe through her Clara Lionel Foundation.
Rihanna is especially grateful for the honor. “It's such a thrill to know that a design school as prestigious as Parsons School of Design would present me with this honor” the daring singer mentioned. Robyn is no stranger to the school and it's designers. She is known to have worn some pieces from Parsons alum such as Melody Ya Jun Lin and Matthew Adams Dolan.
This is the first and definitely won't be the last time we will be hearing about her receiving an award of this caliber. Just last month she was recognized for her charity work by Harvard University and was named Humanitarian of the Year. This goes to show that she's more than a pretty face and sex symbol, but a caring, noble rock star!
