The Obama's Post-Inauguration Vacation
While we have been feeling the wrath of our new president Donald trump, Barack and Michelle (without their lovely daughters) took a post-inauguration vacation on the British Virgin Islands, and you can bet they are enjoying every minute of it. The 44th president made a promise to the American people that he was going to chill extremely hard after January 20th, and he's keeping that promise. I’m pretty sure they miss their place in the white house, but over the past week photos of the Obamas have streamed the internet, with Barack wearing flip flops and wearing his hat backwards, and former first lady Michelle relaxing with her shades on.
The Obamas stayed in a Rancho Mirage manse that belongs to former Spanish ambassador James Costos and his partner, interior designer Michael Smith.
According to People, Barack and Michelle Obama arrived in the British Virgin Islands on Monday for a much-deserved post-presidency vacation. The former first couple departed Washington D.C. on Friday following the Inauguration.
“Michelle and I, we’ve really been milking this goodbye thing, so it behooves me to be very brief,” Obama says jokingly before boarding a plane bound for the west coast.
Although it hasn’t been confirmed if the couple was accompanied by anyone, it would be expected that the former vice president, Joe Biden, would join his fellow brethren on the relaxing trip, considering their extensive bromance.
The former President and first lady have been taking full advantage of their time out of the White House.
