New Edition Gets Their Own Day In Boston
R&B group New Edition are now among the celebrities honored with their own day in their city. According to Fox 25 Boston, over the weekend Mayor Marty Walsh announced "New Edition" Day in honor of their new series premiering on BET. New Edition is a Boston-based 90s group whose been making hearts drop since they were in their teens. If you haven’t heard, New Edition is featured in a new miniseries on BET called The New Edition Story. The show depicts the ups and downs of the music group from their beginnings in Boston to each of their careers as solo artists. Mayor Walsh and BET representatives attended a screening of the show in Boston on Sunday.
The first part of the "New Edition Story" airs Jan. 24 and their next album will be released Jan. 27.
