The “Game” Plan!

Jayceon Terell Taylor aka The Game is one of Los Angeles well known West Coast rappers. He has also allegedly been apart of a popular LA gang called Piru Bloods. Not to mention being signed to Aftermath Entertainment in the past. Shortly after being with Aftermath, The Game was placed into G-Unit by Dr. Dre and Jimmy Lovine. This may seemed like a good idea at first, until he and rapper 50 Cent had a couple of miscommunication issues. In a result of his disputes with 50 Cent, The Game left Aftermath Entertainment and signed with Geffen Records.

Fast forward ten years later, the California native is still hotter than ever. Releasing his sixth studio album in 2015 titled “The Documentary 2”. He has also starred in his own reality shows like “Marrying the Game” with Ex fiancé Tiffney Cambridge and his newest series “She’s Got Game” where he's in hopes of finding real love.

Jayceon not only has that going on but has been quite the philanthropist. He has donated $1 million in water bottles to The Flint Water Crisis in Flint, Michigan earlier this year and $10,000 to the family of slain 6-year-old Tiana Ricks who was shot in Moreno Valley California. His charity The Robin Hood Project is a charity set up by the rapper himself to give back to the community. The charity helps people who have had hardships, struggling and in need of some financial help. He also brings positivity to people's situations that aren't that great. Mr. Taylor knows how hard it is to not have it so great all the time and growing up in a rough neighborhood from experiences from his childhood. There were a few other celebrities in attendance of the rally to show their concern and support like fellow rapper Snoop Dogg.

The Game’s most recent contribution to society comes after all the recent division of Cops versus the African American Community. A anti-gang summit was organized by the celeb himself. He rallied up gang members from Crips, Bloods and other street gangs to come together and discuss ways they can curb violence. In addition to that the rapper called upon Los Angeles police chief Charlie Beck and performer Will.i.am. Anti gang members joined inside a downtown Los Angeles center while holding the meeting. Many explained the crowd and atmosphere both inside and out was very peaceful. It was said that officer Beck was friendly with the crowd by chatting, answering questions and such. Beck stated that the meeting was a step in the right direction. “We're making sure that there's no one-person cars responding to emergency calls”. The Game has a plan to do whatever he can to stop all the brutal attacks that are going around .

This subject matter ties into all the issues that are being discussed at this week's DNC. Everyone can do something to help defuse these violent situations. Starting with politicians trickling down to celebrities then to everyday people like you and I that are on the front line of these issues. We're on the right path so far . Hopefully we can continue to follow through until we see some major improvement in the midst of all this chaos.
