FLOTUS Graces The Cover Of Vogue
For the third, and unfortunately, the last time, Michelle Obama graces us with her presence on the cover of Vogue Magazine. As Barack’s second term is coming to a close, she offers the magazine some parting words as a fashionista as well as the First Lady of the United States. Michelle Obama has been hands-down, one of the classiest and most stylish first ladies to have lived in the White House, Michelle has not been afraid to flaunt bold styles, jazzy prints and show off those arms everyone strives for.
Michelle reflected on her time in the White House, telling Vogue how she will miss the little things like the South Lawn, the Washington Memorial being in the view from her home and just the overall access she had to Washington that in just three months she will no longer have. But she also realizes that though she will miss these little things, it is time. Michelle reflected,
It's time. I think our democracy has it exactly right: two terms, eight years. It's enough, the nature of living in the White House is isolating. And I think Barack and I—because we're kind of stubborn—we've maintained some normalcy, mostly because of the age of our kids. I go out to dinner with my girlfriends; I go to Sasha's games; Barack has coached a little basketball with Sasha's team. But at the same time, when you can't walk into CVS?
Though there’s a general consensus that we don’t want the Obama family to leave the White House, it is good to reflect on the great achievements that they have brought America in the last four years. So as the Obama’s gear up to leave office and we gear up for a new president to be inaugurated, let us remember the coolest family to have lived in our nation’s capitol.
